The Rheinland government announces the “reactivation” of several inactive commissions, effectively calling retired combat pilots back into active service. July 8th 807 AS
The first major SDN operation in Kusari is labelled a success by SDN officials. In a humanitarian aid operation SDN freighters with fighter escort enter Kyushu and head for Planet Kyushu with the aim of rescuing afflicted locals. A running battle ensues when they meet Outcast and Blood Empire resistance. The freighters manage to land and remove as many people off the planet as possible and manage to make it back to the New London system while pursued the whole way by hostiles.

July 9th 807 AS

July 12th 807 AS

In a Kusari press release a pilot of the Blood Empire expresses his sympathy for the citizens of Kyushu who were “rescued” by the SDN, saying that they are likely to have all died horribly slow deaths as a direct result of their removal from the Thor’s Hammer filled atmosphere of their planet and that any reports to the contrary are blatant lies. In a quickly organised response from a Liberty news organisation, two interviewees discuss how the rescued people are still alive but that most have grim chances for full recovery. Those that did die were either already too weak to be saved or injured in gunfights during the rescue. The Order make their first official public appearance in which a slightly heated debate happens between Commander Kaal of the Order and one of the Order’s most outspoken opponents regarding the terrorist acts happening in the last few years. Kaal states that the move to go public is intended to be a first step toward a goal of working together with the houses. Addressing the issue of hostility with military pilots, particularly in Kusari and Rheinland, Kaal stands by the actions of the Order on the grounds that any and all Nomad affiliated pilots, cultists or insurgents will be attacked wherever they are. A short, concise message is sent out through the ranks of the Corsair Reformers to the effect that a few high profile pilots have gone missing along with much of their important equipment. It is revealed that Bretonia has deployed SAS pilots to Rheinland space to assist in deflecting Outcast raids. In an investigation by the Outcast High Court an LWB pilot is found to have attacked Outcast pilots inside Outcast territory. In a public announcement Dr. Sumashi Scwdaoc is credited with developing a possible cure for addiction to Freya’s touch during the Outcast cardiforming of Kyushu. USM officially announces plans to terraform planet Jackson in the Oregon system in partnership with Planetform. The LWB announce a drop in attacks on Darmstadt Depot coinciding with a recent claimed alliance formed between all the criminal elements in Rheinland. Sudden hostilities between the Lane Hackers and Outcasts induces a blockade of Outcast territories by the decreasingly offensive Outcasts. The Outcasts maintain that they are mostly in the dark about the cause of the change in stance and have no choice but to retaliate against their recently sundered allies.
